Mrs. Wilkinson, elementary paraprofessional, has worked for Lathrop R-2 for 19 years. When asked about Lathrop, Rhonda, who has had 3 kids graduate from our school stated,
“I love the small town. I feel it takes a village to help each student be the best they can be.I love how we all look out for each other. I work with an amazing staff. I love all the kids.It is a great place to work, and I love that all three of my kids graduated from Lathrop.”
One of the people who nominated her had this to say about Mrs. Wilkinson.
“She is very compassionate and is willing to go above and beyond with the students she works with. Her dedication to the Lathrop R-2 school district goes beyond the classroom. Rhonda arrives way before most if not all of the staff and stays later than most. Her day consists of 10-12 hours of work when you include the latch key program as well as implementing and adjusting curriculum to help students learn as a paraprofessional. Not only does she do an amazing job at those jobs, she often times spends her own money, or finds donations for special treasure box rewards, food for students who are hungry, or gathering school supplies for students who need them even though she may not have the extra to give/spend. She is dedicated to seeing the students and staff of the Lathrop school district be successful and happy.
She is willing to support the district in many capacities and has demonstrated that by filling many roles, jobs, and titles she has had with the district over her 19 years as an employee. Thanks for your dedicated service Rhonda!
