Thursday evening, Nov. 21st, nine LHS art students participated in the annual Art Invitational hosted by Raymore Peculiar High School. 12 schools attended
The evening involved a juried art exhibition and a studio contest. The contest involved students creating art in a category such as drawing still life, painting still life, drawing figure, printmaking, handbuilding ceramics, and wheel throwing ceramic. Students had 1 1/2 hours to create their art and then judges went around and awarded 1st-3rd place in each category. The art exhibition was also judged, awarding 1-3rd place.
An award ceremony at the end of the evening recognized all the winners with ribbons and a prize of art supplies.
