Congratulations to Lathrop Middle School principal, Andy McNeely who was recently named the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals (MoASSP) Northwest Region Middle School Principal of the Year.
The Lathrop School District was excited to have his family, his students, and principals from other area schools in attendance to surprise Mr. McNeely for his achievement.
Mr. McNeely is one of only 8 principals in the state of Missouri to receive this award. Andy will now compete for the Dr. Jim L.King Missouri Principal of the Year.
Mr. McNeely received multiple nominations for this award. In their nomination, a principal from another district wrote, “McNeely wears many hats, his love for his students and competitiveness always gets results, and he never seems to get rattled. Personally he’s the first call I make when I need to problem solve at my own school.”
Another principal stated, "Andy has been a consistent and outstanding administrator in the Northwest Region for a long time. He is dedicated to not only his students and staff, but the growth of other administrators in our area. He would be an amazing representative of this award for the Northwest Region."

Congratulations, Mr. McNeely!
