Biology Science Teacher Opening for the 2026-2027 School Year
Lathrop High School is seeking a full-time, certified Biology teacher for grades 9-12 for the 2026-2027 school year. This position includes teaching four sections of Biology. Depending on the candidate’s qualifications, additional teaching opportunities may include two sections of other science courses such as Dual Enrollment Biology (through MWSU), Physical Science, Applied Science, or PLTW Biomedical courses (certification or willingness to obtain certification required).
About Lathrop High School and District:
Lathrop High School is part of the Lathrop R-II School District, located in Lathrop, MO. Our community offers a welcoming small-town atmosphere while being conveniently close to Kansas City—just a 30-minute drive via I-35. The high school serves approximately 255 students in grades 9-12.
The district operates on a four-day school week (Tuesday through Friday), with monthly staff in-service days on Mondays. Additionally, coaching positions are available across various sports and extracurricular activities.
