The Lathrop High School Counseling Office is excited to share this exciting career exploration opportunity from our sheriff's department.

Introducing The Clinton County Sheriff’s new Law Enforcement Explorers Program.

Exploring is a career development and discovery program aimed at giving youth, ages 14-20, the chance to experience firsthand what it would be like to have a career in Law Enforcement, and to provide mentorship opportunities that will help youth prepare for this career.

  • Participants will meet monthly to participate in hands-on activities that allow them to learn more about a career in Law Enforcement – evidence handling, fingerprinting, ride-along opportunities, traffic enforcement, safety briefings, etc.

  • Participants will receive mentorship from members of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, helping them to prepare for a future career in Law Enforcement.

  • Participants will develop their leadership skills and character by participating in community service as part of this program.
