As we begin planning for the 2026-2027 school year, we want to share an important update regarding classroom teacher assignments. In previous years, students learned their teacher placement before summer break. Beginning this year, teacher assignments will be shared after annual registration is completed in August.

This change allows us to make the most balanced classroom placements possible based on final enrollment numbers, student needs, staffing adjustments, and scheduling changes that can occur throughout the summer. Waiting until registration is complete helps ensure that class sizes and student groupings are equitable and set up for a successful school year.

PowerSchool registration and elementary office will open on August 5. Our office staff will begin assigning registered students to classrooms at that time. As soon as a teacher is assigned, you will be able to view that information directly in PowerSchool. If you have questions or need assistance with registration, please contact the office after August 5 to schedule a time to come in for support.

Field Day is tomorrow, May 21. Due to possible weather and soggy ground conditions, activities have been moved indoors. If you signed up to help, Coach Nichols will direct you to your station within the building when you arrive. Since we will be using indoor spaces only, it will be fairly crowded, so please plan accordingly. Thank you for your flexibility and support as we wrap up another amazing year!

The class of 2026 graduation ceremony will now be in the LHS gym instead of the football field due to potential high winds on Sunday. The front doors will open at 1:00 p.m. and the ceremony will start at 2:00. Thank you, Mr. Bowers.
