Friday is an our last day of school and we will have an early release at 12:47.
Summer school begins on Tuesday, May 31. Summer school teachers will be assigned the first day and may not be your child's teacher for next school year.
If you child is bus eligible for summer school you should receive a call from People's Transportation by Friday. For questions call 816-528-3231.
Your child will bring home their final grade card along with a supply list for next year and their classroom assignment (Teacher)
Our teachers work many hours to put together well-balanced classrooms both academically and behaviorally. Class lists are final and we ask for your patience and understanding with decisions made for your child's classroom teacher.
Follow this link for classroom supply lists: https://5il.co/1b3fv
If you have any questions please feel free to email chauncey.rardon@lathropschools.com
Thank you for your continued support of Lathrop Elementary, have a great Summer!

2022 Senior Graduation Information: Date & Time: Sunday, May 22nd at 2:00 p.m. Location: LHS Sports Complex, Gates open: 12:30, Seniors need to arrive by: 1:30. Seniors will meet in the multi purpose building. Graduation Ceremony setup: The spectators will be in the home-side stands. Band will be on the track directly in front of the home-side bleachers. Seniors will be in chairs between the track & the sideline of the football field facing the stage which will be on the 50 yard line of the football field. The side gates on the north & south side of the home-side stands will remain open so parents can come down to the sides to take pictures. You will notice we used the track hurdles as barriers to keep parents from getting in front of the home-side bleachers on the track. Spectators are welcome to bring a chair & sit on the north & south side of the home-side stands on the track. With that said, our home-side bleachers hold 1250 spectators so there should be plenty of room for everyone. I ask that everyone stays off the football field & behind the track hurdle barriers. Graduation procedure: The seniors will line up with their walking partner(s) on the visitor side of the track on the 50 yard line about 1:55. When the music starts the seniors will walk along the 50 yard line towards the home-side bleachers. Once they get to the backside of the stage, which is sitting on the 50 yard line they will split & one senior will go to the north side of the stage and the other senior will go to the south side of the stage. The seniors will enter their row of chairs from each end & walk to the center of the row. After all the speeches, the seniors will enter the stage area from the south side, receive their diploma on the south side of the stage, shake hands with all administrators, then exit the stage on the north side and go back to their row. After all seniors receive their diploma, they will be asked to stand, then they will throw their caps in the air. At this time Mr. Bowers will conclude the ceremony & parents will be allowed to come find their seniors to take pictures on the football field area. Seniors will need to pick up their senior packet at the sports complex concession stand. Reminder that all fines/fees must be paid prior to receiving their senior packet. Please do not show up prior to 12:30. The stadium will remain locked until 12:30. Please do not try to come up Saturday & tape off rows of bleachers. I will be locking the stadium up sometime on Saturday. If I notice bleacher space has been taped off prior to 12:30, I will remove anything taped to the bleachers. The weather at this point in time looks like it will be cooperating. However, if it looks like we will have bad weather rolling into Lathrop around this time our first plan of attack will be to delay the ceremony until we have a break in the weather. Our last option will be to move the ceremony inside to the gym due to having to move the staging area & setting up for an indoor ceremony. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me. Thank you.
Mr. Bowers

Lathrop Elementary will take our all school picture tomorrow, Tuesday, May 17 at 3:00 on the football field across from the elementary. We are asking that each grade level wear a certain color so it will be easier for students to find themselves in the picture. Copies of the picture are not for sale but a large poster will be put in the elementary entrance. Please do not purchase a shirt for this picture, just have your child wear something similar to the color. Here are the colors we would like each grade level to wear:
Preschool, Kindergarten & 3rd grade - White or Grey
1st and 4th grades- Gold or Yellow
2nd and 5th grade- Black

LHS Activities for May 16th- May 22nd
